Classic Dal Tadka
The perfect golden dal — slow-simmered toor dal with a smoky tadka of haldi, cumin, and lal mirch.
Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal
- 1 tsp Annapurna Haldi
- ½ tsp Annapurna Lal Mirch
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin, hing, dry red chilli
- Salt, fresh coriander
Method
- Pressure-cook dal with haldi & salt — 4 whistles.
- Heat ghee, splutter cumin, hing, red chilli.
- Add lal mirch off-heat. Pour over dal.
- Garnish coriander. Serve with rice or roti.
